I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
